Zajazd Górski Kuźnice is a historic building with a folk ambiance blended with modern elements.
The first mention of Kuźnice dates back to 1766, when an ironworks operated there, thriving until 1878. From 1807 to 1869, the Homolas family from Hungary owned Kuźnice. In 1833, they expanded the industrial complex by adding a manor, which included utility buildings, a beautiful garden, and a fountain. Over the years, the Kuźnice Manor of the Homolas family became known as the largest metalworking enterprise in all of Galicia, establishing itself as a prominent destination for scientists, artists, and tourists visiting the Tatra Mountains.
In 1889, the estate was taken over by Władysław Zamoyski. A year later, his sister Maria opened a summer restaurant in Kuźnice, which quickly became highly popular. It served as an excellent base for tourists heading into the mountains and was a fashionable social hub—a must-visit spot as well as a trendy café.
In February 1900, the restaurant burned down. Władysław Zamoyski then built a new building, which by 1902 was already generating significant income. In 1926, the Kuźnice Manor was transferred to state ownership.
Today, the inn offers a wide range of activities: we host art exhibitions, cozy gatherings, and lectures. We primarily invite guests for individual stays.
Our greatest advantages are the proximity to hiking and skiing trails, the chance to be close to nature, clean fresh air and water, and excellent connections to Zakopane’s center via shuttle buses, horse-drawn carriages, or private transport.
